Sensational Summer Weddings

Wow! I don't know about the rest of you but this summer was very fast paced for me. I had the honor of doing a number of gorgeous weddings (have I mentioned I love my job?!) and am now able to let YOU see them. Take a look at what we did around here...

Congratulations to all of these new Mr. & Mrs.!!

Gaby & Jason Williams

Can you say stunning?? There were so many little details that made Gaby and Jason's wedding so beautiful. From the gorgeous floral wreaths woven into our chandeliers, to the candle filled head table, there wasn't one inch of the ballroom that didn't blow me away! I was so happy to be a part of this day. Take a look!

Jen & Anthony

Jen and Anthony planned their wedding in just about 8 weeks!  It was SO MUCH FUN!  We had a meeting and a tasting right away to get those details into place and order wedding invitations.  Then it was a matter of the bride choosing a dress and getting vendors hired.  They used our favorite vendor list and hired people in no time!

Isn't this cake from Designer Desserts beautiful?  It went perfectly on our rhinestone cake stand.

They had a smaller wedding and split the room into two- a cocktail room and a dinner area.

They went with table numbers that perfectly matched their wedding invitations which were purple with gold glitter.

Congratulations to the newlyweds!  I had so much fun working with the two of you and planning your wedding!  It was a great party!

Come rain or shine... a wedding!

Although the couple had planned to have their wedding ceremony in the garden, the weather forcast seemed a little unpredicable so rather than chancing it, they "tied the knot" in the chapel. (One of the best reasons to choose Aberdeen Manor is we can provide you a beautiful indoor setting in the event of rain...or heat...or humidity...or just because you decide to change your mind the day of!) Just before guests started to arrive a rainbow appeared across the top of the chapel. It was a gorgeous site!--just like the bride.

Mr. & Mrs. Sean Guy

Katie (Lawson) Guy grew up playing on the grounds of the Aberdeen community.  Once upon a time, her grandparents owned all the land that the golf course, Aberdeen Manor & the housing community resides on.  The Inn at Aberdeen was the house her father grew up in.  Having her wedding at Aberdeen Manor was especially special for that reason.  After marrying at Valparaiso University's chapel, the couple took some pictures before arriving at the Manor set just as they imagined...lots of candlelight, beautiful floral arrangements, a few specialty linens in champagne color, napkins in navy and touches of rose gold throughout the room.  It was breathtaking.

Under the Sea

Jessica and Mikhail added some really neat and unique touches to their wedding today.  The ballroom was decorated with an ocean theme.  The bride is a marine biologist and this really showed her love of marine animals.

The sign says "Two less fish in the sea."  Lol!  Each guest signed a bubble on their "guest book."

Designer Desserts made this cake and it was amazing!  The detail was so beautiful.

The unity ceremony involved the bride and groom putting two light sabers together.  Right as the ceremony began, the Star Wars theme song started to play.  The officiant said a few words and Mikhail turned on his light saber.  A few more and then Jessica turned hers on.  They ended the ceremony by reciting some lines from Star Wars including Jessica saying, "I love you."  Mikhail replied, "I know."  It was so well done and everyone LOVED it.  It was completely them too, so it made the ceremony that much more personal.

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Spector!  #volktor

Picture Book Perfect!

Today's wedding was absolutely beautiful!  The new Mr. & Mrs. Goodman chose ivory, gold and blush pink as their colors.  The bridesmaids for lovely lace light pink dresses and the groom & groomsmen wore classic black tuxes.  And the bride?  Well, see for yourself!  She looked gorgeous in her lace & tulle...

Classy with a little bit of Star Wars

Stacy and Ryan are huge Star Wars fans and wanted to add some touches to their wedding day.

Their cake was amazing!  Designer Desserts created the Death Star and it made such a great centerpiece.  It even had a light in it.  The bride walked into the chapel with her Dad dressed as Darth Vader.  I wasn't able to get a good photo of the two of them, but you can see him a bit in this photo.

The bridal party all walked in with lightsabers which the bride and groom walked through during introductions.

This wedding was truly perfect for Stacy and Ryan.  They added their own touches which really personalized the day.  May the force be with you always!
